Game-changing innovations for the RV industry
A new camping season is almost here and the RV industry has
gathered in Salt Lake City this week to kick things off right. The
new trade show—called
RVX—brings together manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers for
a 72-hour binge in the world of campers. So far, the biggest debut
of the show has been a new camper from SylvanSport. Love campers and
trailers? Come join
our community group.
You might remember SylvanSport from their first product: the
SylvanSport GO. Now, the North Carolina-based company has
rocked the RV world with the award-winning Vast, an adventure-minded
trailer that offers an array of innovative amenities. Measuring
21.5 feet long and 7.9 feet wide, the Vast features oversized
European windows, a full lift back tailgate, and sleeping areas for
But it’s the transformative aspect of the Vast that make it
stand out in a sea of travel trailers. A patented all-season,
indoor-outdoor kitchen is an innovation we’ve never seen before.
When traveling, the kitchen fits into the shower area, but once you
arrive at camp it unfolds at cooking height to become an outdoor
kitchen. And unlike some other outdoor kitchens that store away at
your feet when not in use, the Vast can be used inside the camper
(from the shower area) or outside.
Other design elements show how thoughtfully SylvanSport designed
the Vast. The side window features a slide-out table so that you
can access the table from the outside like a bar. The interior
features a seating area that slides forward when you want to load
bikes in the back, maintaining its functionality in any position.
This means that you can haul gear and still use the interior of
your trailer, just at a reduced size.
At night the seating area transforms into a queen size bed while
another queen drops from the ceiling with a touch of a button. A
toilet area is always available, and then when you pull-out the
kitchen you also gain access to an oversized shower that feels much
more spacious than most RV baths.
Throw in SylvanSport’s side-mount rack system for kayaks and
paddleboards, a powder-coated steel chassis, and a base weight of
2,500 pounds, and you have one of the most innovative travel
trailers the industry has seen in a while.
The Vast just debuted at RVX so stay tuned for new photos.
We’ve seen the Vast in person and trust us, it doesn’t
disappoint. To get an idea of just how cool this camper is, check
